Job Description

This position will primarily be responsible for various operational duties in support of our Environmental Commodity group with an initial focus of supporting our Renewable Natural Gas Business. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to problem solve, be proactive, follow instructions, possess good follow-up skills, and know when to escalate any issues and to whom. Candidate should also have the ability to look beyond specific tasks and ask questions relevant to their job function and demonstrate the use of sound judgment in decision making.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities and Competencies:

  • Perform various settlements duties in support of our RNG group
  • Maintain and monitor inventory status for current and future positions
  • Invoice and verify payment for all sales and purchases of credits
  • Work with accounting on month end close, including Environmental Attributes inventory reconciliation
  • Routinely communicate with management and various internal groups including Operations, Planning, Commercial Origination, Accounting, and Legal regarding new purchases and sales
  • Develop, enhance, and streamline processes/procedures for increased efficiency and effectiveness, including updating process documentation and flow charts
  • Assist in market analysis for environmental commodity markets
  • Manage registration of new facilities and new pathways in markets

Job Qualifications

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Business, Finance, or commodities field
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work while meeting all deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with the desire to produce high quality work and the ability to identify issues
  • Proactive and positive attitude, trusted and supported by peers, excellent written and verbal skills
  • Passion for understanding the whole process and get to the root of problems
  • Effective communicator and an ability to work cross-functionally across the organization (i.e., with Origination Team, Legal, Operations, Accounting)
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
