Job Description

BIOGEST® is an international manufacturer of biomethane and biogas plants with headquarters in Austria and subsidiaries in France, Italy, Romania, Serbia, the Czech Republic, the UK and the USA. With a team of more than 80+ highly qualified employees, we have already realised over 180+ biogas plant projects that generate electricity or biomethane worldwide and thus contribute to climate protection. Due to sustainable growth, we are looking for a motivated and committed reinforcement for our project management department.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Daily presence on a biogas plant during commissioning period
  • Supervision, instruction and assistance to local contractors during final steps of installation
  • Testing and commissioning of biogas plant equipment (e.g., drive units, valves, sensors)
  • Providing continuous on-site and remote technical support for biogas plant operators during commissioning period
  • Training of biogas plant operators for safe and efficient operation
  • Troubleshooting biogas plant operational problems and corrective actions to maximize plant efficiency
  • Supervision and personal involvement in the operation of the plant (raw material management, feeding, technical operation, inspection and maintenance)
  • Producing timely and detailed reports on performed commissioning and testing works
  • Reporting regularly to Project Manager and/or Commissioning Manager

Job Qualifications

  • Technical background (electrical preferred)
  • Practical experience in the field of renewable energies/ biogas or agriculture is an advantage
  • Proactive, independent, and self-confident communication
    Team player and high commitment
  • High level of initiative, flexibility, reliability, and stress resistance
    Professional and responsible approach
  • Willingness to travel
  • Good driving record and a valid driver’s license
  • Software skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) – proficient
  • Ability to work outside, work at height and in confined spaces
  • Experience with operating basic construction site machinery (e.g., forklift/telehandler, boom lift, scissor lift) is an advantage
